Jennifer Redmond          Founding Partner

Jennifer Redmond is the founder and principal of Redmond Law PLLC. Ms. Redmond proactively advises clients on all aspects of construction related matters from pre-bid to contract phases through completion of the project including preparing contract documents, prosecuting and defending construction claims including extra work, delays, mechanics’ liens, non-payment, bond claims, labor and employment disputes and insurance claims on public, private and not-for-profit construction projects.

Ms. Redmond’s vast and in-depth knowledge of construction and labor law ensures her clients are positioned to resolve issues as they arise and when necessary to litigate cases to a successful conclusion. Jennifer understands that the balance between the economics of the construction project and obtaining a successful resolution of a case. Ms. Redmond’s practice focuses on Commercial, Construction, Litigation, Employment, Corporate and Real Estate Law. She represents owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, construction managers, sureties, architects and engineers in all aspects of construction including contract drafting, litigation, arbitration, mediation, claims preparation, insurance, bonding and labor disputes on public and private construction projects.

Ms. Redmond is a regular speaker and panelist on Construction Law for various public agencies including the Federal Department of Transportation, Office of Civil Rights on various Major Projects throughout the United States, New York City’s Small Business Services for the City University of New York and has taught at Columbia University in their Construction Management Program for minority and women-based construction companies. For the past nine years, Ms. Redmond has lectured, consulted and taught Construction Law for the New York City School Construction Authority’s M/WBE Mentor and Advanced Mentor Programs. Ms. Redmond has been a regular speaker and panelist for the Federal Department of Transportation and the State Department of Transportation.

Ms. Redmond earned her Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she served as the Managing Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Lawand her Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Cornelius Redmond          Partner

Cornelius (Neil) Redmond is a partner at Redmond Law focusing in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice and Products Liability. As a trial lawyer for over 20 years, Neil has successfully obtained millions of dollars for his clients, through trials and settlement. Neil has conducted 99 trials to verdict. Through his extensive trial experience, Neil’s pre-trial preparation results in the highest possible recovery for his clients. In preparing hundreds of cases for trial, Neil’s comprehensive knowledge of the law enables him to clearly discuss the facts of every case with the jury. Neil is able to persuade juries as to the merits of his cases and successfully argue the extent and degree to which each client should be compensated for their losses.

Neil’s thoroughness and attention to detail along with constant communication with his clients results in obtaining the highest verdict or settlement based on the facts of the case. Neil consistently battles and beats the insurance companies. Neil meets with each client individually and ensures he is readily accessible to discuss their case.

Neil served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Queens County District Attorney’s office where he prosecuted 28 trials to verdict in three years. Subsequent to that, as a trial lawyer for the New York State Insurance Department and the New York City Transit Authority, Neil tried 25 cases to verdict.

Neil earned his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he served as an Editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Management from the State University of New York at Cortland.

Orelmy Diaz      |      Lead Paralegal

Orelmy Diaz is a Litigation Paralegal at Redmond Law, where she works with the Personal Injury Civil Litigation team in all facets of case management. Ms. Diaz is an exception paralegal who has an in-depth knowledge of litigation which comes from both obtaining her law degree from the University Abierta Para Adultos (UAPA), Dominican Republic and from years of providing litigation support. Ms. Diaz is an integral part of the Personal Injury Civil Litigation team from intake to trial, including drafting and responding to discovery, providing motion and trial support as well as post-trial, settlement and appeals to help ensure clients obtain the best possible outcome for their cases.

Ms. Diaz manages court appearances, depositions and the office calendar for the civil litigation practice. She also conducts client intake, interview of witnesses, preparation and analysis of case evidence including medical records and loss of income, among other supporting evidence. Ms. Diaz is in constant communication with clients and is always available to address any client questions.

Ms. Diaz is fluent in English and Spanish.

Emily Morel      |      Paralegal

Emily Morel is a Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal at Redmond Law, where she brings over ten years of professional experience to her work assisting the Personal Injury Practice team in all aspects of litigation. Ms. Morel is responsible for file administration, drafting discovery, research, filing documents with the courts, assisting with trial preparation, and acting as a liaison between Redmond Law and case support entities.

Ms. Morel combines her warm personality and dedication to managing client communications from in-take to resolution, providing our clients additional support during their case. Ms. Morel manages the Personal Injury team’s litigation calendar and client records, including medical records.

Ms. Morel is fluent in English and Spanish.
